HD Medi was legally formed in November 2008 as a joint venture between the Dutch company, Dijkstra Vereenigde B.V. and the South Korean company, JVM Ltd. Before that, the company, as a part of Dijkstra, had been operating in Western Europe since 1999. Both companies were active in the area of packaging machines; Dijkstra first for food and then for pharmacies; JVM in automated medicine dispensing systems for pharmacies. In July 2014, HD Medi became a fully owned subsidiary of JVM Ltd. In 2016 Hanmi Pharmaceuticals became the largest shareholder of JVM Ltd in Korea. In september 2017 the name HD Medi was changed to JVM Europe to reflect the new ownership structure.
Today, JVM Europe is the European leader in pharmacy automation solutions, with more than 1000 systems installed throughout Europe and more than 10,000 worldwide.

GMP and GAMP
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is a quality assurance system for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries. GAMP (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice) helps companies and suppliers in the pharmaceutical industry to develop validated automation systems.
We offer a variety of machines that have been developed with the GMP guidelines (Good Manufacturing Practice) in mind. This means that the machines can be used in a GMP-regulated environment and that the documentation provided (Master Plan, URS, FS, DQ, IQ and OQ) can be implemented in the customer’s quality management system. Moreover, the machines are fully tested (with test documentation) at ours and the customer’s premises. The machines are only released to the customer after successful installation.
Our total software management systems are fully validated according to the GAMP guidelines, ensuring safe operation and full track-and-trace in a single database. A signed validation statement is provided for all new releases.
ISO 9001 Certification
JVM Europe has achieved ISO 9001:28 certification. This means that our customers can be assured that our products and manufacturing processes are compatible with the highest standards.
“ISO 9001 Certified” means an organisation has met the requirements in ISO 9001. It defines an ISO 9000 Quality Management System (QMS), and ISO 9001:2008 is focused on meeting customer expectations and delivering customer satisfaction. JVM received our first ISO certification in 2011, and today, we are proud to say that we have always met the strict requirements of Lloyd’s, the ISO certification organisation and will continue to do so in the future. Being ISO certified isn’t just a ‘nice to have’ for us – it is built into our company culture to always bring the highest quality products to our customers.
